Golden Glow Turmeric Latte

A cozy drink with the magic healing powers of turmeric. The curcumin in turmeric inhibits the NF-kB, a molecule that triggers inflammation in the body, reducing inflammation.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup coconut milk (or your favorite non-dairy milk)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger powder
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for creaminess and enhanced absorption)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the coconut milk, water, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, black pepper, maple syrup and coconut oil.
  2. Warm the mixture over medium heat, whisking continuously until it’s hot but not crazy boiling—about 3 to 5 minutes.
  3. Pour into your favorite mug and sprinkle a tiny dash of cinnamon on top for garnish.
  4. Snap a pic of that radiant, golden glow and enjoy your anti-inflammatory boost!
