Golden Glow Turmeric Latte
A cozy drink with the magic healing powers of turmeric. The curcumin in turmeric inhibits the NF-kB, a molecule that triggers inflammation in the body, reducing inflammation.
Ingredients
- 1 cup coconut milk (or your favorite non-dairy milk)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger powder
- A pinch of black pepper
- 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for creaminess and enhanced absorption)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the coconut milk, water, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, black pepper, maple syrup and coconut oil.
- Warm the mixture over medium heat, whisking continuously until it’s hot but not crazy boiling—about 3 to 5 minutes.
- Pour into your favorite mug and sprinkle a tiny dash of cinnamon on top for garnish.
