Beef Stroganoff
A guilt free version of a classic comfort food. Completely gluten free and dairy free with purposeful, nutritional ingredients in mind. This dish is cozy, satisfying and delicious.

GF/DF Beef Stroganoff
A decadent version of a classic favorite. Made gluten-free and dairy-free with purposeful and flavorful ingredients.
Ingredients
- 1 lb thinly sliced grass-fed beef
- 1 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 16 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup full-fat coconut milk (or cashew cream for creaminess)
- 1 cup beef bone broth
- 2 tbsp gluten-free liquid or coconut aminos
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp paprika
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp arrowroot powder or tapioca starch mixed with 2 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)
- Gluten-free pasta or zucchini noodles
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- green vegetable of choice
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced beef and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté onions until softened. Add garlic and cook for one minute. Add mushrooms and cook until tender.
- Add coconut milk, beef broth, tamari, Dijon mustard, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- If a thicker sauce is desired, stir in the arrowroot powder mixture and cook until the sauce thickens.
- Add the cooked beef back into the skillet and let simmer for 5 minutes. Adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve over your choice of pasta or zucchini noodles, with a green vegetable on the side and garnish with fresh parsley.
